What sort of ground do you have? Rolling or flat?

Put your chisel plow away! There is NO yield drag in no-till soybeans and even if it is one or two bushels you did not spend the fuel.

Straight or an an angle is a personal preference. Unless everything is planted with autosteer is sometimes is difficult to get between the row. I just drive and don't worry about where the row is, but I am planting with a 1990 drill so I have a better chance of getting the seed on the row. With a 30 inch planter I would go in between the rows.

We always plant at least two inches deep at a population of around 180,000. I really think that could be lower but that's not up to me to decide. With stalks that tall there might be issues with the stalks getting caught up in the chains. We hung a pipe on the front of the planter back when we no-tilled with that and it worked good.

Don't afraid of no-till it cal really save you alot of money under the right circumstances.
