Subject: RE: Ripping with no till ripper

NE MO & W IL
I am looking at a Case 2500 no-till subsoiler....so do you subsoil between the corn rows and then no-till soybeans/corn in the spring right back on the slot? They make a firmer attachment that looks like would work good for this. Have you tried this on soybean stubble and then planted corn over the slot? Can you run this tool in the spring since you are not bringing up huge boulders that would need to mellow out? I am trying to decide between the basic no-till 2500 model or the ripper-stripper model. (My planter is setup up with the works for no-till, so moving residue is not a problem, also running Omni HP for autosteer). Any thoughts or opinions would be welcomed. Thx.
