Genoa, Nebraska | I have run probably 5000 acres through my 863 since I bought it in 2001. Last year I rebuilt it courtesy of Shoup, and plan on running that head for many more years. I think they are an excellent head at an excellent value. I run it on a 1660 and it handles heavy, 200+ bu. corn. Just make sure you grease the snapping rolls at least once a day and keep you chains tight and you will be happy with the head. Keep a good set of knives on it and the field will look good after you are done. | |
