IH 863 vs IH 963 corn head is it worth the extra $$ ?
SE Michigan
Looking to buy a corn head
(been renting last few years....dealer now has junk heads
).
Combine : CIH 1640
Crop: approx 100-120a
Found some "nice" IH863's for around $25-3K IH 963 any where from $3500-6K. I understand one difference is cast
(863
) vs aluminum
(963
) gear boxes.
Is it worth the difference? what are some other things to look at?
