sw ontario | -now running 2 combines how many acres of beans would you have?? (not a BTO ?)....guy running 9610 and 9500 here did 10 B-train loads (1,500bu. average) in one long day...in mile long fields my b-i-l did 100 acres with 35" head in 4 hrs...ed ? #2 is land still hard to rent-buy where you are at?...in about 1981 we left farm science demonstration fields and drove north and seen some guys running 3 ih rotay combines and visited with them...they had bought a 6,000+ acre farm that had been one of those colonel-gift from civil war farms but with interest rates going up they had turned it back too ins. co. and was renting it..it was split into 2 parcels...now when i was like 30 then, it seemed pretty impressive...hey i wouldn't mind having that now if it was paid for--enjoy your blogs | |
