Ask by phone if they would be willing to remedy the situation, and if they say no, go by personally and thank them for their time and consideration while cleaning cattle and hog manure off your shoes and onto their carpet.
I bet they get the message.
I used to smoke many moons ago and eventually realized it wasn't for me. I tend to believe that anti-smokerism today is pretty over the top, after all, it is still legal to smoke. But that was a very unprofessional display by the dealership employee, and they need to be aware of it.
