We are double empty nesters. As many know on here, I leave my wife on a weekly basis, and she takes me back each weekend. Moved to city on account of merger with wife's employment, farm didn't make the move. It is still 100 miles away, and I spend all week at farm by myself and she by herself. Well, she has the cat. I have coyotes to listen to at night.
We spend more time keeping in touch with our two boys than they do keeping in touch with us. Have one grand daughter now, and she happens to live in same city. They almost took a job to move several hundred miles away. He decided not to take it. We were glad they didn't take grand daughter away just yet.
We keep busy in community and church groups, so don't find much time to be lonesome. | |
