Looking for advice on how to best store black walnuts.
My trees were loaded this year.
I have a hand crank corn sheller that I am de hulling them through.
I googled the storing of them, but too many conflicting reports.
Can I after de hulling just dry them? If so how to do so with little investment? Will they dry in a plastic burlap feed bag or do they need more air flow than a bag would allow?
Or as some mention do I have to wash them post de hulling.

My thoughts were to hull them only, somehow dry them and then when I am craving some cookies shell out a few and suggest to my wife that these should be made into cookies or pie.

Thanks
