You should see at least 1.5 lbs a day or more. I would fill them up on a lesser quality hay, then switch to the higher test hay. I would also put lick tubs out in front of them. Just to monitor them, if good quality hay, they won't eat much of the tubs, and feed goes down, they will pig out on the tubs. I like to use the 20% crystalix tubs. Fiqure at least 3% or more of body weight for volume of hay per day.
