Leaving a lot of money on the table. Split it up into smaller pieces of 40 to 80 acres and charge 200. Guys paying 200 an acre for hunting leases don't want to mess with shooting a doe. If you have decent bucks 200 is attainable. Outfitters are charging 1500 to 10,000 for weekend hunts, depending on the deer they kill and the weekend they are allowed to hunt.
Won't get any argument for me, you are correct about getting more $ , but don't want the extra headache of what it would tale to go after the big $ for deer hunting.
Had to referee a situation while back on ground I own that don't charge to hunt on between two deer hunters. Don't know why it is when it comes to deer hunting, but rational thinking becomes a scarce commodity more times than not. Have decided to eliminate this problem and rent it to the high bidder this year. |
