I am assuming you are not getting replacement but some sort of arthroscopic "cleaning"... I have had three such surgeries. Was young, stupid and invincible with the first one. Decided I would start using it the next day. Nothing hard, just hobbling around. I went to the Doc for follow up in 7 days and he took one look at the still swelled knee and said "What the heck have you been doing!!??" Anyway, long story short, the recovery for the other two surgeries was about a week when I actually took a week off to ice and elevate. Let things heal!
