One difference going forward is the separation of the GPS receiver and the steering controller. The paradyme had both internally. That was great for swapping between tractors. Own a paradyme and add it to a CAN controlled tractor for the cost of a wiring harness and a bracket.

In theory, a steer command Z2 would have a much longer shelf life and could outlast several GPS receivers.
