south texas | We had our 8970 go down with a broken piston on #5. All top end damage. My machine shop and myself belive it's from high exhaust Temps. We installed a gauge a few years ago and keep it under 1000f post turbo. The manifold is in 2 sections so putting it pre turbo will only monitor 3 cylinders.
My stx with qsx runs much lower exhaust Temps but has a remote air to air cooler.
Adding a remote air cooler will require alot of modifications. I believe my 855 is a bc3. I see different engine mounted intake coolers on bc4 and n14. Pictured is my cooler, anyone have any experience swaping a bc4 or n14 cooler to bc3?
