SE MN
I would pay a premium for a 24xx or 22xx head over a 34xx. I feel the older model fed better in damp/wet conditions, without having to modify anything. I went from 2206 to 2208, to 3400, back to 2400 header, with no regrets.

Also to consider, is that on the 2400 heads, the stalk rolls can be replaced with Calmer rolls without having to replace the deck plates. As I recall, when adding Calmer rolls to a 3400 head, you must install Calmer's deck plates also (I was told by the Calmer salesman, that if you don't use the Calmer deck plates, the Calmer rolls do not fit on a 3400), which adds to the cost of switching to Calmer rolls.
