I like the combine a lot. Does the auger not hurt the candy?

On a new terragator you can set the spinner infinity, but you know how hydraulics are. If you touch the throttle or stop moving foreword there’s a surplus of flow for a second so even if you turned it down to say 50 from the normal 690 it might blip up to 700 if you stop suddenly or when your turning the belt off and on to feed candy. I’ve been hit with fertilizer a few times and it doesn’t feel good. I bet a dumdum sucker would break a windshield.

That's exactly what happened to the guy with the TR combine. It was a cold day when he calibrated it. Then when hydraulics warmed up, things changed in a bad way.

The main thing I appreciate more now is that for safety and economic reasons you need to be able to accurately place the candy where you want it.

My sister went and bought 10 pounds each of 50 different candies. We mixed it up and ran it all through the combine onto the shop floor as a test. The only thing that passed through 100% was the starburst. I think if you were to freeze the little Hershey minis they would do okay, but not for the fourth of July! If the wrapper on anything is the least bit loose, it peels it open. And hard candy like peppermint tends to crack hitting the concrete. We even tried a cheaper off brand candy similar to starburst, and they unwrapped. So, I'm a committed Starburst man!
