To spread both ways a chaff spreader throwing candy to both sides might be simpler than another auger. Then you could have a real silver seeder. LOL

The big change around here with parades is that many of them no longer allow candy to be thrown, or in some cases even handed out at all. The rumors I heard were that a child was run over after jumping out to grab candy off the road in some other state. So we are very mindful of safety. Spreading it out the back would encourage kids running out, and with the large group of horses following, I don't that would be too sanitary!
