NW Oklahoma | We have made this for years. Make a white sauce, 6tbs of butter, 6tbs of flour and 4 cups milk. Once it starts to thicken add 1/2-3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese and 4 hardboiled eggs chopped up. Layer your casserole dish with well drained canned asparagus and cover with sauce. Put layer of cheese on top, bake at t350 20 minutes, pull out and cover with lays potato chips crushed up, put back in oven for 10 minutes. Also helps to season white sauce with salt and pepper.
