I don’t live there and have little experience with snow. Below is a text from a friend I have an hr south of Buffalo. From his house he can see the lake.
“The first storm is always big drama because the lake is so warm. Makes these snow bands that move around. You can be in zero visibility snowfall at one point and sunshine one mile away.”
