SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!

CRob - 8/30/2022 18:49 Been looking at these, dang they are not cheap either. Do people use these alot? or something neat at first, then not at all? Have propane hvac, its ok, have a firebox for wood attached to the furnace we use when we want to be warm. Cold part of the house sits a fireplace we have never used. Looking at propane logs. Some of the sets look pretty real, but I care about the heat mostly. Waste of $$$ or great idea???

20 years ago a gas insert in an old fireplace turned a cold living area into a pleasureable place to be and a place with emergency heat. It had a small chimney the went up the old one and it was converted to a cold air intake. I think it cost $1500 but it worked well and used little fuel
