| I don’t have any recommendation as we use a variety and they all seem to work well.
That being said there is one type of glass top that is more particular to the style of pots and pans and that is an induction stovetop. Induction stovetops don’t actually heat up, it is only the pot/pan set on it that heats up. Of course some heat transfer will occur back to the glass but on its own it won’t heat up. It is supposed to be much safer because of that. It also virtually eliminates burning on and etching caused by spills. At least that is what I’m told.
If your glass top is the induction style it might be worth asking the question again as I’m sure someone here has experience with that particular type.
