Friend of mine did hyperbaric oxygen treatment to try to heal his tongue after it was partially removed due to cancer.
It wouldn’t heal initially so the hyperbaric treatments were recommended. It seems to have worked, if I recall correctly it took several months of treatments to get it healed.
