I was going to tell that story.....
Don't give them a cent. Be tough. A lot of time they are looking for the low hanging fruit that gives in without a fight. If you got paid in the normal course of business and they don't have any evidence that you got preferential treatment, they have a long road to getting your money. If you were getting paid electronically, close that account.
