There is more to a closed center hydraulic system than a variable displacement pump. I think you need some help with the design of your hydraulic power unit from someone who knows what they are doing.
How so? The John Deere pumps are self-contained, as far as I know. There's no external control systems, other than a destroke valve for startup.
