Subject: How to plumb a hydraulic power unit?

Blue Grass (Eastern IA)
Building a hydraulic power unit to mount on a Bale Bandit. They recommend 25 gpm @ 2500 psi. I attached a pic of how we think it should be plumbed. Should the line out of the cooler go into the pump or back to the tank? There is a 3rd input on the pump available. Will a pair of 1” lines be enough to gravity feed the pump? The filter is already on the Bale Bandit. I think adding one before the pump is going to be too restricting.

Suggestions?

Thanks
