Nw Iowa
I am by no means a expert, but a lot depends where it s at, how deep etc. Just because you are awarded a lease you have to go thru a ton of red tape to drill.Because you have a lease doesn’t mean you are going to find oil. If you find oil, it has to be transported to market. There costs of transportation are doing whatever everybody else’s is doing, going up. So is steel, labor, yellow iron etc. Oil companies took huge hits when Covid hit, in fact there was talk that some would become insolvent. Mr Biden wants a government run country, not free enterprise. You can’t cut oil companies at the knees and than expect them to just roll over when things get good and produce like a dog doing tricks. . Mr Biden does not understand supply and demand nor does he understand inflation. You don’t hand out free gas cards or say that fed taxes will not be charged on gasoline without doing one or both of two things. Creating even more demand which makes situation worse or creating even more inflation. Some of this is not rocket science. Trying to Defend all of his failed policy’s is a daunting task, so have to hand it to FA2 for drinking the cool aide.
