SWOH | I don’t have any remedies yet. I lost both taste and smell 2 years ago, taste came back after 3 days. Still can’t smell anything but smoke or something hot. And sometimes those are phantom smells, which is real handy when I’m running equipment. Briefly when my taste came back everything tasted like pure battery acid for a few days, which I’m thankful did not last. I’ve talked to several people that still have a constant sulfur taste after several months. I’ve given up hope on ever getting smell back. Thankfully after 10 months most of my long covid issues went away. Still get winded very easily and no smell. I asked my doctor about it a few months into the ordeal and he said it’s just long covid and not much you can do other than wait it out. Hopefully there’s legitimate treatment for it at some point. Haven’t found anything yet though. | |
