Subject: RE: Burger smells when I cook it

SW Nebraska Panhandle

When I was a kid we had a bull step in a hole and break its leg.  My dad shot it and had it all ground into bull burger (nothing went to waste).  That was the nastiest burger I ever had.  We had to eat some of it ( I love hamburger).  I think we threw the rest away thank goodness.  I am sure it was a combination of being a bull and probable "dark cutter".  Anyway I will never forget that taste and smell.  We take our bulls to the slaughter house and it probably ends up in a Taco Bell taco.  We do butcher and eat cull cow beef and find it to be very good.  But I won't eat another bull burger in my life.
