Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | Good note about the "MUST DO" to flushing after a failed compressor.
A flushing unit is about $15 at HF or auto parts stores. On advice from several online AC repair sites, I use common lacquer thinner as a flush fluid. It is a fraction of the price of commercial flush and works as well. Lacquer thinner is volatile enough that a 30 minute vacuum will evaporate all traces of flush fluid from the system.
Never flush through a compressor or dryer, disconnect lines and flush evaporator, condenser and all lines separately.
Your warranty on a new compressor is void if you do not give the system a flush and new filter /dryer.
