| Dad and I have this dabate every winter. We have small acreage as well, about 100ac. In my mind, the bottom line is do you have the time? In our situation we don't (both work full-time jobs). If you don't have time, get the best applicator in your area. Yes, it will be expensive, very expensive. But the halfa** ones will cost you more money in the long run (We've experienced it).
