You should be able to find a pretty good sprayer for a few hundred bucks. Check the local classifieds.
For example, I have a 500 gal 40' sprayer in the back of my shed that I would gladly part with for about 600$. I bet there are a few in your area, too. I'm in Minnesota, so mine won't work for you.
10$ is pretty high priced. We pay about 6 when we get beans sprayed for aphids.
