SW Ont | Unless I missed it, no one mentioned 'off farm investment'.
If the available cash can generate more in other investments than the interest paid if used on-farm, then an operating line isn't necessarily a bad thing.
My experience was that when I didn't really need it (which also means I was a lower risk), the financial institutions offered my money at a much better rate than when it was getting going.
Of course off-farm investment needs to be managed too.
