I did about the same thing a couple of years ago with Tillage also. It did seem to work but when it got to planting time, I just went with my old approach of doing the headlands and main field separate.

With out basic rectangular fields, we don't have much of a problem. We have one field with a strange shape and plant two passes on the curved part and around the field and then start from the straight side and eventually mate up with the curve portion where auto swath does its thing and shuts off our 2 row sections for us.

Things started to roll here in my area yesterday. Still a bit wet in my opinion but I suppose we must start also.

I don't want to be first, but I certainly don't want to be last. If you're in the middle with the rest of gang, then if we fail we can say "Well, it wasn't our fault, it was bad luck". Of course that doesn't cut much ice at the bank..
