Up here in northern Illinois would and have started as soon as I could depending on weather. Usually start at V2-3 and finish at V4-6 depending on weather and number of acres to get across. Have finished when corn was brushing the applicator and front axle with minimal damage mostly turning on end rows. Less damage to little corn V2-3 it will come out of burn and being run over better, within a week can hardly see any damage.
