Subject: Pulling field cultivators.....

South central, Nebraska
I have searched the older treads about pulling requirements and have seen a tremendous difference depending on many factors. I'll try to be specific with my situation.

Would a reasonably solid JD 4640 be able to pull a 34' JD 960 field cultivator for a final finishing trip after one angled pass of a nh3 rig with 18" knife spacing in bean stubble on clay loam?

There are old row crop cultivator rows I'm wanting to smooth out. I've never pulled a field cultivator and the selection of used is limited.

TIA
