N.E. MO | Mowed many, many, many miles of ditch banks with one as a kid in the 80's. We would get in the fields and straddle the rows beside the ditches and mow around the inside of the fields too. Used it on a 2940 MFWD and it was just right for the job.
One issue I remember is that the pto shafts that drives the pump was kind of triangle shaped and bound up where it wouldn't slide. Lowered the 3 point and it destroyed the pump. Replaced with the same shafts from Bush Hog and it happened again a while later. Finally retrofitted a power shafts with square slides and never had any more problems. | |
