Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Yes, cables are involved. EZ-Boom was designed to "go in place of" a Raven 440/450. That means if you have a Raven 440/450, you can remove it and replace it with EZ-Boom by using the Raven display and product cables that you already have. In other words, EZ-Boom uses the same connectors and wiring pattern that Raven uses. EZ-Boom has some other features that expand upon this so some other cables might be needed to utilize more booms etc. This means if you currently have a rig setup to run with a Raven 440/450 you could remove it and install EZ-Boom often without any extra cables.
If this would be a "new" installation where a Raven 440/450 was not involved, then the Raven cables or their equivalents would be necessary. This would add a fair amount to the total cost of the project.
I would be reluctant to deal with this company. I think dealing with a farmer who has moved on to something else would be a better plan.
