On the issue of visibility, could you place a cab camera somewhere and solve that problem? Our current forklift looks like a John Deere 4020 with a set of forks on the back so I'm currently dealing with something that doesn't turn tight but will go anywhere. With any fork lift other than a rough terrain type I won't be able to stack empty boxes in the grass like I do now. My seed shed also has a concrete lip behind the sliding door that requires ground clearance to drive over so I worry that a pneumatic tire fork lift would get over that very well.

Have you considered a compact telehandler? They’re good at forklift work, have an easy side entry, and will generally outlift, outreach, and outrun skid steers.
