Some folks like our Dawn 2003 Narrow Row combo when planting into stripper head harvested wheat, even on 30" centers. This system has a cutting/ripple coulter but it is 2" to the side of the row. No hairpinning. Off of the back edge of the coulter it uses a single, usually 12.75 diameter Trashwheel. The coulter then cuts the wheat straw and the single wheel clears maybe a 4" wide path. Some folks run a std rubber closing wheel on the coulter side and a Curvetine on the undisturbed side of the seed and this makes a good system for planting into stripper head harvested wheat. We have also strip tilled into stripper wheat stubble. I've posted a couple pictures previously. Jim at Dawn
