Subject: Re: planting in stripper header stubble

NW Kansas
I am currently running a jd 1770 planter, it seems like the less openers the better seems to be the response. Thanks dpilot83 for the reminder of the Atwood crew, I know them and will also check their experience. It seems I can avoid a lot of trouble and trial to find out what others have experienced with this situation. I am also sure we will be planting later as it will take the ground longer to warm and dry when covered with the tall wheat residue--but here, conserving moisture is what it is all about!!

ps. was your single mounted coulter a 25 wave?
