Subject: Re: D4 Cat Water in oil

Central / West Texas
I believe that (radiator cap) is what put water in the oil on our Cat 6D. Would not vent, built up too much pressure when hot. Water had to go somewhere. Liners are not too bad, have to drop oil pan and will need a liner puller which you can most likey rent our borrow. Cat service manual would be really nice. I have on for our 955k around here somewhere. Could possibly scan some pages if you need them. No neeed to remove the engine at least not on ours. Head of course has to come off and that is where you need the manual to get the tourque sequence and pounds of torque on the head bolts.
