If the brushes are going bad, sometimes you can move them around a little and see if you can get it to engage. Verify power first. Are the LSS warning lights coming on when you activate the switch? Was this all of the sudden? Bad/unplugged seat switches can cause the clutch to not engage. If you can hear the clutch engage, but it does not pull the header it makes me think armature. It is expensive so you don’t want to be guessing.
