Subject: RE: Header drive electrical magnetic clutch problems

The most common problem is for the brushes to fail. There are lots of possibilities up to and including the electric clutch armature has failed. If it has a soft click, I would be leaning towards the armature on the clutch being bad. What is it doing exactly? Engaging enough to turn the header and slipping under a load, or not engaging, but making a sound?
