It’s obvious where you’re coming from. The vaccinations are worthless ..........

they’re certainly not perfect but far from worthless. You want to “discuss” treatments......that has happened over the last year and a half since COVID began spreading widely in this country.

The favorite antivaxer treatments haven’t got the mainstream of the medical community behind them because there’s not good data that shows they work from research that was done HERE.

It may be just a silly bias, but foreign studies unless they’re done in Western countries don’t automatically carry a lot of weight.

And after the president promoting hydroxychloroquine and everybody jumping on the band wagon, when it was later shown not to be helpful by studies done here in the USA, nobody wants to do that again.

So, ivermectin is not going to be anything more than a redneck treatment in this country. As a group, the docs have moved on. There may be some rebels in among them, but they’re not as desperate for treatments as they were.

They’ve got monoclonal antibodies and they know a lot more about managing cases than they did early in the pandemic. There’s also a steady stream of drugs coming through the approval pipeline that have data showing they work that was submitted to the FDA and reviewed by their experts.

They also see that the majority of their cases of severe disease and deaths are unvaccinated and old vaccinated people. They know that vaccination is a better public health response than even proven treatments. It’s always better to prevent as much disease as possible before you have to treat it. So they are in behind vaccination. The boosters are in response to the evidence that vaccination and immunity from previous disease isn’t long lasting against the delta variant.
