Not everybody needs to be low carb and some low carb don't need to be as low as others to reach their goals. Where I manage my diabetic blood sugar levels with food rather than drugs, l have to keep mine very low in carbohydrates to keep my blood sugar and insulin levels in line. It works very well in that respect.
