Western-Central Lower Michigan | I was wondering about this for myself, I met all the requirements except for my processor is a gen too old. The more I think about this, the more I wonder if this isnt just a push for everyone to have to get a new computer. Did Microsoft screw up by making the "hardware requirements" so strict? Yea, I think so. But my opinion dont matter. Its a free upgrade (if your machine qualifies), so maybe to sell operating systems,(to DELL, HP etc) MS has to make the requirements to upgrade so high, only a small minority meet them.
Im very happy with Windows 10, and will be content to sit tight. Way down the road (2025 when W10 is no longer given updates) I will decide what to do. Yes Linux Mint or Ubuntu is a possibility. |
