^ as Larry said,a screen on any tank before suction then a filter post pump,some day the pump parts might end up in your product,unless closed loop system like a wet system you then still have a screen prior but filter on tank return beneath pressure.Nefarious people seem to attack equipment left un attended with sand /rocks in openings etc so a screen a must,even accidentally a stone can get in any tank .Screen to protect pump,filter to clean product..
