Mid-Missouri | I would say part of it depends on the tank and its condition.
What I did on old NH3 tank made for diesel is this order...
Tank-bottom hole-1/4 turn valve-2" hose-banjo polyethylene strainer-2"hose-2" transfer pump-dual filters-1.25" hose-large auto nozzle
Everything must be diesel compatible...diesel destroys things not compatible in short order.
And yes, the banjo strainer has caught a lot of rust from the nh3 tank...probably would't have hurt the pump or made it past the fuel filters...but it doesn't cost anything to clean out, compared to expensive filters that require total replacement. | |
