| Both. From tank it’s more of a screen. To catch hardware before it damages pump. The fines good filter after pump. You can buy filter setups for gravity flow to very high rate. All it takes is money.
Any filter will reduce GPM. The more surface area, larger openings. (Yes we are talking microns) the better flow.
Honestly I can’t get much advantage over actual 15 GPM. Auto shutoff.
Stick in tank, check oil, check pre filter, add DEF if needed…. “CLINK” top off tank, and go. If really low I might get a walk around of done, hit few grease zerks. But I am small operation.
Diesel engines I might even start while fueling. (Can’t recommend this) They should run a bit before digging. If in field I might drive to small area before putting digger into ground. But if 3 400 hp tractors to fuel. That would waste time. | |
