That is probably true. But at my age I have no desire managing an amount of money in small local investments that would be a full time job. That is why I retired, so I would not have to manage all day every day.

The alternative is CD's but then the bank has control of the money instead of an investment company. Money market funds are still with the investment companies. Too much gold and silver at home puts a guy at risk of getting knocked in the head.

That is the problem with working all your life, saving and investing and end up having something. If I was destitute I could just get food stamps and welfare and wouldn't have so many problems.*****
