I did not watch it all the way through and I get the point he is making. But something that was not addressed, at least in the first ten minutes or so, is those large investment groups have thousands of investors that own those companies in "street name". In otherwords, Vanguard is a huge shareholder, but Vanguard is a mutual company owned by its investor clients that own the stocks that are held in Vanguards name. I get voting stuff all the time from Vanguard and Ameritrade. But the stocks and shares I own are in their name, not mine. Yet I still have a vote.
The message is not lost on me. There is a lot to be said for what he is saying about power being vested in too few entities. But some of it is not entirely as it appears in the way he is presenting it.
